As a dedicated HIV/AIDS minister,

I felt called this year to do more than

my usual: advocate, minister, teach,

& raise awareness.

A major part of what I do involves helping people stretch beyond their comfort zones to think about ways they can work to stop the spread of HIV, support those living with HIV and address the taboos that contribute to the spread of this disease.

This is the year that I will stretch far beyond my comfort zone. Throughout the spring and summer, I will train and then run 26.2 miles to raise money to stop HIV/AIDS.

This is my year to put my sweat, my energy, my strength, my wind, where my mouth is. It's time for me to model what I hope people will do which is push beyond the comfort zone, inspire others to get involved, and commit to show up and engage whatever comes.
